The Symposium on Innovations in Vaccine Research and Development, organised by Imperial College London and the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, and hosted by the Wellcome Trust took place in London on the 5th September 2012. Chaired by Danny Altmann of the Wellcome Trust, we were joined by national and international experts to review innovations and new technologies in vaccinology and the opportunities they offer to advance some of the most complex vaccine research and development efforts, including for HIV, TB and malaria.
